I'm still here. (in more ways than one)

1. People, the Bible says no one knows the day or the hour. (matthew 24:36) The world did not end. Its 6:45pm, and I'm still here.
2. People, sorry about the lack of posting lately. Unlike some bloggers, I don't usually lack inspiration, sometimes I have too much. I've just been really busy with finals and all. :) 

I have two posts in the making, both will be posted this week.

Just wanted to let you know I still exist :)

In a balance

Life.

Death.

Both are extremes.

But there is something in between.

And it's a terrible place to be.

Right now, my 20 year old cousin is in the balance between life and death.
He was in a terrible car accident on Friday. Due to military duties, Austin (my cousin) was stationed in Japan when the accident happened. He has a small bleed on his brain, he is in a coma, he is also on a dialysis machine.

Austin is dealing with all of this.
But I believe in "Austin is *not*"
Because I believe in Jesus.
And Jesus heals.

This is incredibly hard, because this is the third *serious* accident the Ray family (over 80 people) has gone through in the past 4 years. Two of them claimed the lives of my 19 year old cousin, and my Grandma.
Please pray Austin's family. Pray for life.
Please pray for the Ray family.
Please pray for my family.
Thank you so much.

On Saturday I went to a old-hollywood movie star party. :) It was SO fun! I was Katharine Hepburn, it was my attempt to be a unique character. I suceeded as there was no other KH at the party. But anyway....the real reason I'm doing this post it to show you my dress. 

I love this dress. 

Love it. 

I got it at a thrift store for $4.50.

You can't see it, but I bobby-pinned a gold broach in my hair. (vintage and thrifted)

"Lets just breathe the air in anthropologie"

Last weekend, I went to Kansas City, MO for the weekend. I saw Mikaela (aka Gertrude) in her school play. It was Annie. (She was Grace!) And my dear friend Olivia was Miss Hannigan. They both did an awesome job. I'm so proud of these lovely ladies :) On Sunday I went shopping with Olivia, Mikaela, and her friend Jessi. It was lovely, awesome, and such.  I went to Forever 21 for the first time. (We don't have one in my town, *weeps*) And...we didn't have very much time left to shop, but Olivia was desperate to breathe the air in Anthro. Haha....so we did. Lets just say the air was exhilarating...(slight exaggeration. To my disappointment, the air in Anthropologie is overrated)

We ate at California Pizza Kitchen, Olivia and I split a Caesar salad.

Once I had a bad experience (well, actually it wasn't *bad* it was just, rather unpleasant.) with a Caesar salad, but that's another story for another blog post.

I don't know why I just told you that. Back to California Pizza Kitchen...and other places....

how to: enrich your life + a disclaimer

I love naps. I'm dearly hope you know that a nap will truly enrich your day/life. You take naps right???? Right?? I am not just a super weird nap-loving country girl?

I have been slacking majorly on my blog. I'm sorry. Right now I am lacking some very important things to have a successful blog:

1. time.
2. time.
3. a good picture
4. time.

Maybe this is due to the hours I spend napping in the afternoon. (hehe) And possibly the hours I spend reading other blogs. Oh and Pinterest. (The source of all the photos above.)
I need to go outside and take some lovely pictures of this gorgeous spring we're having in my neck of the woods.

I am going to an old hollywood movie star party on Saturday. More on that in an upcoming post! :)

post royal wedding

confession:
I really did wake up at 2:55 this morning to watch the royal wedding. My mom and little brother did too. Afterwards, our living room looked like this:

I said I wasn't going to watch it live, but what is the point of watching it recorded? It was most definitely worth it.
Kate looked stunning in her (what looked like Grace Kelly inspired) dress designed by...designed by...I can't remember (I am too tired to Google it)

They make an adorable couple. I love her dress.

I am going to take a seriously needed nap later today...but I think I'm just going to go turn on the coverage of the wedding and watch some more :)
